Monogram etched in glass
I etched a set of 4 glasses like this for a wedding gift. It works pretty slick, except you have to make sure the vinyl is laying perfectly flat so no etching cream gets out of your design area. Also the etching cream makes me kind of nervous! I know the acid used in it is bad stuff! But I think the...

The S is from the font called Not His Angel, and the crown is from the font Princess BV (some details omitted from crown).jsnstarprncss wrote:What font did you use for the S with the crown above it? These are too cute--one day I'm going to have to play with this and vinyl

Belated Father's Day Sign
I also posted this on the Cricut boards, but wanted to post it here for those of you who don't frequent "the other side". Our family waited to celebrate Father's Day until my sister was home from her teaching job in China. I made this sign from recycled coroplast (it was a corn plot sign) ...

Re: My take on freezer tees
I used Tulip Soft Fabric Paint. Some of them were matte colors, while others were metallic, pearlescent, and obviously glitter.

Re: MAKING A SHADOW or OUTLINE OF TEXT in Inkscape
I tried making a copy of the text and then using the outset option in the path menu, but I didn't get a nice "crisp" shadow like I was looking for. I'm interested to find out if someone else has another way to make a shadow for text.

Re: My take on freezer tees
I saved all the vinyl pieces as I was working. Then I did one color at a time, allowing enough time for one color to dry before putting vinyl over it so I could do the next color. That's another reason I used vinyl instead of trying to find my iron so I could use the freezer paper. Thanks everyone f...

My take on freezer tees
I also posted this over on the Cricut boards. These are my first projects making stencils and then using fabric paint. I actually used vinyl for the stencils instead of freezer paper, but it's basically the same idea. These are for my niece's birthday. I got the tanks and shorts at Target for less t...
