When you open it in Inkscape it will be a big mass of flowers but you can select each individual one to move around and use for your design.

That was cool!! I felt like I was opening a surprise box - You can also play around with them to get ideas with how certain combinations would look in a cutout layering.

Open the file in Inkscape, select the element(s) you don't want, delete them. You left with remaining elements; "save file as" with a new name.

Will they be gone forever? Should I make a copy of them all first?? Thanks for your help!

The original file remains, as long as you use the 'save as' and give the new file a different name.

I didn't use them to cut, I ended up cutting the flowers on George bc I was pressed for time (It was for a K art project).

I tried the copy/paste and I couldn't get it to work. I can copy/paste within the same page but can't get it to copy on a new one....Remember me? The inkscape idiot??? I need the toddler tutorial on copy and paste to new please! I must not be doing something right...Are you surprised?

First step, separate a flower you want to use in SCAL - move your mouse over the flower you want until you see the 4 arrows. Left click on the flower and hold the mouse down and move to a blank area in the Inkscape window - it doesn't matter where but just separate from the other flowers so that you can see it. Let go of the mouse button.
Next, right click on the flower you just moved and left click on Copy from the popup menu, it's the 4th one down on my popup menu.
Third, click on the page button directly below File. That button will bring up a second Inkscape window.
Fourth, right click in the 2nd Inkscape window and left click on Paste from the popup menu, it's the 5th one down on my popup menu.
Now, you have a single flower in a new Inkscape window. From here, you can click on File, then Save As and name it a file ending in SCV in a place you want to use from SCAL. In SCAL, click on File, then Import and find the flower picture you just made. Then CUT! HTH
