Personal Cutter Sizes with SCAL

Post by islandgirl »

I'm sure this has been answered before, but I couldn't find the right search phrase to hone in on the answer...

What size can I cut using the Cricut Personal and SCAL? I know that I can only cut up to 5.5" with the cartridges. Can I cut larger with SCAL? Is it compatible with larger mats? What about the Cricut Create and Expression?

Thanks In Advance!!

SCAL doesn't limit the size, your cutter does. If you have a 6x12 mat that is the largest you can cut. With the expression we can cut 12x24 (allowing for the border on both, of course). Maybe I didn't understand your question.

Hmm, well I'm pretty certain that I have read a posting on here before about this, with the 6x12 cricut...I believe you could cut up to 24" long (with SCAL) which at the end of the day, means you simply have to cut a 12x24 mat down to size, enabling you to make full sized borders to go across your pages etc, pretty damn handy I think. I'm sure someone will clear this up for you before much longer though. Like I said...I'm just going off what I have seen on here about this subject previously.

Cheers Kris :)
