I have an svg that I designed in inkscape opened in SCAL, cut this out 3-4 times Perfect.
Now I tried to ungroup the design in SCAL but it won't. So I went to inkscape opened the file ungrouped it, took off the hearts to put diamonds on it (deck of cards) , just to make sure I clicked path, object to path etc everything I know to do. Now here is the problem- I import it into SCAL and SCAl says its stopped working and will shut down.
All other designs are working fine. What on earth did I do? Am I missing something or what?

Can you post the file?

One thing you MIGHT try is creating a layer, selecting all, and moving everything to the layer. I think I've seen oddities when objects are in the "root" of the SVG file.

Thanks Anyway jaseni1
I just decided to delete the whole entire file and start all over again and it worked great. I don't know what happened to it in the first place. I wasted too much time just trying to figure out what went wrong.
thanks for your help

One thing you might want to try in the future is saving your files as "PLAIN SVG" and not Inkscape SVG. For the most part, I can't import Inkscape files, but I can the Plain files. I have also noticed when I try to edit an SVG file, I run into problems. To eliviate this problem, I trash the file on the computer and then save my SVG. Theres's something about overwriting an SVG file that seems to mess things up for me. I can't explain it, it just happens.
