Halloween Board Book (EDITED...please read if you DL'd)
Hey yall! Well, yesterday, I asked if someone could make some files for me and Amy was kind enough to do so! Thank you Amy!!! You rock! Here is a link to the files she made:
http://forums.surecutsalot.com/viewtopi ... =13&t=7766
Now, I created a 5 page shape board book in Inkscape and would love to share the files with you guys, but don't know how.
***EDIT****Hey guys! I am cutting this right now and came across 2 little errors. The Frankenstein and Haunted House are teeny bit off when it comes to sizing. Not too much, but enough to bother me. So, I fixed them and it works perfectly now. I deleted the original file and posted a new one. It is attached to this post. I do apologize for any inconvenience. But we do learn through trial and error. Thank you for understanding.

Oh this looks great, love it! So glad I could be of assistance
To share the file you will need to click on the tab below the post and click on upload attachment then you will select the browse button. From there you can select where it is on your computer and click add the file. Viola! you've uploaded the file to share! Just like how you added the picture to this post, only you're adding a file instead!HTH

This way is fine for ink users as they can seperate it, save each page and import into SCAL for cutting. For those who don't use ink, they will need individual files for each page. Usually when I do individual files that belong to a group (i.e. pages for a book, etc) I will make them into a zip file and then upload the zip file. Makes it easier for everyone and then you have it all together in one place!

Ok, how do I do that so that everyone can use it? I know how to separate them in Inkscape and save them, but not sure about the 'zipping' part. Thank you so much for helping me and being patient with me! LOL. All of this is confusing at first.

Hehe...I wondered if you were going to ask that question
I have winzip installed on my computer (you can download a trial version that is fully functional for 45 days on their site) All I do is select all the files I want "zipped" together, you can do this by holding down the control key and selecting your files, then I right click and select add to archive. This will open up the winzip program where you can name your file and select where you want to save it on your computer. Just a little FYI: you can add jpegs, gifs, svgs, etc to the same zip file. I usually add a pic and the files so I remember, but that is completely up to you. Hope you can understand this alright, if not please let me know

Update...Been playin with this Inkscape some more and was able to put these images together so you can get a gist of what this book would look like cut. The first image is the book together and the second image shows the individual pages.
