A VERY INTRICATE CUT USING METHODS POSTED HERE

I wanted to share this cut I made this morning of my daughter, yes, she is a professional ballet dancer. :D Proud Mom. Anyway, using the tutorial I shared below, (POST THE COOLEST THING EVER!!!) I was able to make this very intricate cut. The original cut that I used to extract my daughter had a theatre background. Other than the fact that I cut it out of heavy glossy photo paper and it had just slight white paper edges in certain parts, the cut is amazing. I have to figure out how to cut heavy glossy paper to make it perfect but with a tiny trim of my sizzors I was able to get an almost perfect cut as you can see here. I am attaching both the finished product and the original mat so you can see both. I was especially happy with the contour of the face. I hope this helps those people who want to cut out printed images or photos using SCAL and Cricut.

Austin,
This is fantastic!!! After all the hours I have spent on trying to figure this out I am so aggravated about the Mac bug that puts this just out of my reach. Arrrgghhh.

Kay, Did you see this post on the Papyrus Jungle forum? http://papyrusjungle.com/forum/index.ph ... ;topicseen She has found that she doesn't need to do the power cycle with the Mac between cuts, she just unplugs the usb cable. Worth trying.

Thanks, Heather. I will give that a try and see if it works for me!
