Keep Proportions?

I'm working on a small word (in size)

So I have it pretty big on the screen so I can weld it where I want.. ok fine...

My problem is that when I shrink it down to the size I want, EVEN IF I have the 'keep proportions' box checked, as soon as I click my design the check mark becomes unchecked, and it does not stay proportioned... wth???

That happened to me too but when i upgraded the scal 2, and checked the 'keep proportions' box as a default, it hasn't happened.

Shelley, I was having this problem, too. But, I tried what chasar suggested and it fixed that problem. It is under Preferences in the Edit menu.
