Hi,

I just can't figure this out, I have been trying a lot to get this working and then wanted to make a .svg file for it, but I don't get it. It's about the new Sizzix spinning platform that was on QVC a few weeks ago, see the video here: http://www.qvc.com/qic/qvcapp.aspx/view ... -PopUp-Die And now I have found directions on how to fold on Karen's blog, I'll attach it with this post, but still doesn't get it (and yes I do have blond hair  ) I know from the Cricut MB that the measurements for this platform is 9 x 2 inch and I also asked my husband and father to look at it (they ar men, you know technical stuff :? ) but they didn't got it either! So please help me get this thing, make a svg file so I can sleep again!

Thanks a lot for your help and time in advance.

These directions are horrible. I mocked this up and got it to work (my engineering degree comes in handy for this, if nothing else :D ). Now, on to creating an actual file for it...yippie! :?

I'm doing some test cuts on it now. It might take a while to get it perfect.

Here is my attempt at some better instructions...

Step 1. With the die-cut in front of you as shown in Step 1, score the die-cut using a mountain fold for the vertical center line and valley folds for all other lines.

Step 2. Once you have scored the lines, one of the triangles created will be much larger than the other, flip the die-cut over and apply the double sided sticky tape to just that triangle.

Step 3. Align the vertical fold of the die-cut to the center of your card and tape the triangle to the card. Once you have adhered the die-cut to the card, fold the left half of the die-cut along the scored vertical line while at the same time mountain folding the top half of the vertical scored line. This should create the shape in Step 3, above.

Step 4-12. Same as in the instructions.

Let me know if you have any problems with it....otherwise, due to a copyright issue with posting the svg, you've got mail!

For those who are interested I have found this site that has some details how to make your own Jumping box/ popup ball
Instructions are in both German and English
http://verweilen.blogspot.com/2009/02/w ... mping.html

Shouldn't be too hard to make an svg

Have fun
Cheers

I can't help it, I'm a complete geek for these type of challenges. The popping box is in your inbox Craig.

If someone else would like to try it out, let me know and I'll send the file.
