HELP! I am getting so FRUSTRATED
HELP! I am getting so FRUSTRATED
I am a new Sure Cuts A Lot User. I was looking for spaghetti & Meatballs for a scrapbook page. Someone pointed me in the right direction to an .svg file which I downloaded and was able to cut with SCAL. However a friend had a image that looked like it would be a little more cutting friendly - not as many fine lines. She created an .svg file in Illustrator and emailed it to me. I can't import it into SCAL. All that shows up is a red outline of a box with nothing inside. I have since downloaded Inkscape and when I import the .svg file into Inskape - the image shows up, but what do I do from there? I can't for the life of me get it into SCAL. Always an empty red box!

Re: HELP! I am getting so FRUSTRATED
it doesnt appear to be an SVG file, did someone change it from a jpg to a svg for you?
I think and someone may correct me they did a trace and deleted the wrong layer!

Yes, they changed it from a .jpg to .svg in Illustrator. I finally figured it out though. I thought you could import an image into Inkscape and then just save it as an .svg
That doesn't work - I figured out from a video from dan99 that you need to go to "Path" and then to "Trace Bitmap" and I followed his instructions and it worked!!!!!!! I am happy!
Thank you for helping!!
