How to do a SCREEN CAPTURE to post with your file

It is always more useful when you post a file to also post a picture of the file so others can see what it is before it is downloaded. I believe that a capture of the actual SCAL file is best, but an Inkscape file is good also.
If you are so inclined a .jpg or png of the original or use of the file is much appreciated.
Here's how to do it or where to find out how to do it.
ON A PC
To take a screen shot of your file either in Inkscape or SCAL on a PC go here:

ON A MAC
Taking a picture of part of your screen
If you don’t need a picture of your entire screen, you can capture just part of the screen using Grab.
To take a picture of part of your screen:
Open Grab, located in the Utilities folder in the Applications folder.
Open Grab
Choose Capture > Selection.
Move the pointer to a corner of the area you want to capture.
Drag the pointer across the area and release the mouse button.
Grab captures the part you selected within a few seconds. A new window appears with the image of the selected area.
