Property boxes etc

Can you put the property boxes and fonts etc as a toolbar at the top or side as it is annoying having to move them around all the time just to see your mat.
Also, I know this has already been mentioned but I'd like a minimise/maximise button rather than having to pull the mat manually to fill the screen.
