I'm not sure what kind of alignment you are meaning. Do you have a pic?

this is what I want to do. I want to take that little half circle and go all the way around that oval then weld so I can cut several.

TAM,
What you want is
object on path in SCAL/eCAL and I don't know how to do it in SCAL/ecal. Perhaps if you change the title of your post someone might be able to help you. Scallop on circle or something like that.
I can do it in Inkscape pretty easily so if you are in a hurry I can post it for you.

I don't use eCal, but I found this instruction PDF and just took a quick glance at it. Does eCal have the ability to do what you want easily? I also use Inkscape to design the majority of my files. Sorry I can't be of any help. I just thought the following manual might be helpful for future use.

I think with some work and luck you can use the Rhinestone feature but there is a lot of guess work as to stone size. Another way is to find an oval shape on a font and use the type text on path feature but I haven't found one yet.

Sue thank so much for trying to help. I ended up making it in MTC and saved it as an svg file. There are a lot of things missing in Scal that is simple things like alignment and duplicate around something. Seems to me it would be an easy fix.
