Thoughts on eclips and eCAL

I have used my new eclips for a bit and decided to share my thoughts so far.
Pros for the Sizzix machine: It's easy to use; the similarity to the Expression that I have made it comfortable for me to use from the start; there are only two buttons to deal with on this machine because I also have eCAL. I have not tried the cartridge and controller that came with, but I will at some point.
Cons for the machine: it's LOUD!! I wear ear defenders if I'm doing a lot of cutting! This is the biggest drawback IMHO. I wish that the slide-out paper support would slide out farther. I guess that's not so bad for a "con" list, eh?
Pros for eCAL: LOVE it!!!! I like that there are settings for paper type each time you cut. The machine sets the pressure and speed automatically -- no guesswork for me.
I like that instructions come up every time I hit "cut" or "print2cut". I like that the laser light dims when you hit the right spot on the registration marks. Then you know you've done it right. eCAL is easy to use for people like me. Thanks, Craftedge!
I have not yet tried all of the features, but so far I am in love. I thought I would do this for the benefit of those who are researching a machine to buy. At this point, I would not discourage anyone from considering the eclips. Today I located a supplier of accessories an hour away from my home. That's another good thing. It's not easy to find local suppliers in this part of Canada, and shipping is expensive.
I hope this is helpful.
Keep on crafting....
