I haven't used my SCAL 2 for awhile, but I am working on a project and I can't figure out how to make it work.

I am putting a name on a glass frame, and I want to put it on the backside of the glass and have it be able to be read from the front side. The frame has two pieces of glass, the bottom piece of glass has a cut letter, then the second piece of glass on top with have a last name and date.

How do I cut the last name so that the color vinyl shows the letters the correct way? I tried to flip, but to view the letters the correct way, it didn't work. If you put it on the back side, the letters are correct, but it is the sticky white side you see. Do I just put the vinyl in upside down so it cuts from the paper side?

There are many videos on youtube that show you how to do this. Here is a link to one:

If you search youtube for cutting and transferring vinyl you will find many videos. There are some are personal blogs too, but I would check out youtube first.

you need to find the "mirrored" setting, I believe.

One thing to note - vinyl really shows bubbles when you apply it to the backside of glass. I have never had it look right doing it this way.

I layer it all on the front side of the glass and it looks great. I don't even put another piece of glass over that.
