Have to agree, next to my swiss dots folder this one gets the most use. Makes for some very quick cards. Love the mottled effect in the background.

Oh, I am excited...I just went to look at alllll of my 'stuff', and I HAVE this folder! OK, now, tell me how you got it to be 2 colors?
Did you smear a bunch of white ink in that clean folder? This does look so cool...must be why I did not think I had this...I never saw it so clearly before. Please tell me what you did.

Re: Happy Happy Birthday
This is how you do it with any folder: You take your brayer and get it full of the color ink you want. Then you brayer the flat side of the inside of the folder, that is the side where there is no ridges of letters, etc., its the side where the letters, etc. go into the folder, hope that makes sense. Then you run your folder thru like normal, when it comes out, the ink has transferred onto the embossed paper! Voila! I then go run the folder under the tap water and it washes all away. I haven't done it with any permanent type inks tho. I think if you wash it right away that is the best so it doesn't get stained. You could probably use mild soap too.gj1 wrote:Oh, I am excited...I just went to look at alllll of my 'stuff', and I HAVE this folder! OK, now, tell me how you got it to be 2 colors?

Cracks me up you didn't know you have this folder, haha!

I believe I understand...I will have to look up what a brayer is...because I know I don't have that :(
So, did you use a beige ink on white paper?
No, you must have use white ink....I think I see now.
I tried it...my inks are too dried up...darn.

Re: Happy Happy Birthday
I have tried using a sponge to apply the ink with limited success and looking at how cool this card is think the brayer and inks are the way to go for a good result! Can't believe you didn't remember you had this folder gj1, you will wonder how you ever managed without it now.
As an alternative idea this folder looks great when used as just a plain embossed background on a coloured card blank with an aperture cut out with name of recipient going across. I then sometimes back the aperture with wide scotch tape and shake glitter over to finish.

OH...that would be such a GREAT way to get glitter around the name....GENIUS!
