Craft Edge

I am trying (trying being the operative word) to do a dora for my daughters bedroom, but one i import into inkscape, how do i separate the parts to cut on different cardstock - really in general, i need to know how to do it all. Dont quite know which tutorial to look at or how tyo go about it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated
