I see you are new to SCAL...let me help you.
http://craftedge.com/tutorials/tutorials.php
If you will watch the various tutorials you will learn..
Go to File and then Trace and find this image on your computer.
Adjust the brightness there and click okay and it will be in SCAL.
Go Object and then Ungroup and Break Apart.
Right click to Hide various colors by colors and group the remaining like color.
Go to Object and Show All to reveal colors and continue to Group by colors.
Then the Layers will have your colors grouped and you can turn the Layers Eyes on and off to cut each layer.
Good luck and let us answer your questions as you try to do this.

Watched the videos, but still having trouble breaking down underdog. What do you mean by breaking down by colors? Your videos start from scratch and not with a full project. Again, can someone help me?

Breaking down by colors means having all the same colors grouped together. like all the reds, all the blues, the black.... You'll cut all the reds out at once .. then layer that over your black. and so on..
In order to do this design it's going to have to be done in layers
