Hello! I am trying to convert a JPG image of Snoopy and Woodstock to a SVG so that I can cut it with my cricut. I am running into a problem where the yellow of Woodstock is not showing up in the SVG in order to cut out the yellow vinyl. I am using Inkscape. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong? I can cut out all of the white and black parts, but there is no yellow to cut out. Can anyone help me? The copy of the image I am trying to work with is attached.

There isn't enough contrast with the Yellow to convert very well. Are you trying to do this in two colors?

Can you post the SVG you have now? Someone might be able to fix it up using the jpg.

I've been using Inkscape's paint bucket tool over imported bitmap images to generate cut files. With the paint bucket you can adjust the tolerance to vary what will get filled/outlined.

Thanks for info jasen. I am going to try that. Do you know how the eraser works in inkscape? Everything just disappears when I try to use it.

Gj1,
Papasue has a tutorial on using the eraser in Ink on her blog

If you click twice on the eraser yes everything will disappear.. If you click on the eraser and look on the tool bar above you can set the thickness of your eraser... depending on how my of your image you have to erase...

Jasen...thanks for making me think to attempt to learn the paint bucket more.

I went to

to view this video again and it really helps.

Here is the SVG I have converted from that JPG. I appreciate any help with it. I am not really good at using Inkscape, but I try.
