im new to this - I have just bought the sure cuts a lot 2 but i still can not send it to my cricket to print. i was told to download cricket design studio and was told it was free - but where do i get this?????

Here's the link where you can download the free trial of Design Studio. The SCAL installation instructions recommend that you update the firmware on your Cricut machine before you using SCAL2.

I had the same problem. I downloaded the trial version for Mac to see how it would work. My Mac is a employer issued machine (which I am allowed to use), but I had a driver conflict that did not allow me to cut. I e-mail CraftEdge and they sent me a file to run to find the conflict. Unfortunately, the driver is one I need to keep on my machine. You may have a driver conflict also, so I would e-mail support at CraftEdge and they will send you the file to run to determine the conflict.

So that I could use the software, I put it on an old Laptop PC and the trial version cuts perfectly. I do not have Design studio on that machine.

I would check out the driver conflict first.
