Vector Shapes

Are all the cricut cartridges jpg now or are they vector? I am new to this, so was wondering if you can use a jpg or if you have to use a vector? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cricut cartridges can only be used with your cricut machine.. If you are asking this for use with the SCAL software cartridge images can not be transfered to SCAL... I'm sorry if I seem a little confused here....
