I think that is what they call it. I want to add a black letter on top of a white letter so it looks like it has a shadow but can't figure it out. Any help would be appreciated! BTW im working with a mac if that has anything to do with it. thanks!

for a shadow - I cut the files out twice -- once in each color then lay the shadow down first, then add the top but moved over so you see the shadow

Thanks Reddy! I don't think shadowing is what it's called, lol but I might do it that way anyways. I'm talking about having one letter on top of another and just having the white show a just a little, when I cut the letters 2 different sizes they weren't lining up correctly. does this make any sense?

in the appearance box -- right side kinda middle -- you should see the word "normal" then an arrow - click on the arrow & it will give you the choice to shadow

I love to weld the shadow together so the pieces are just one cut
