Hi everyone. I am a cake decorator and I am looking for scroll/florish svg. patterns that are thicker and simpler, so they will be easier to cut out on my cricut using fondant/gumpaste. Most of the beautiful scrolls/florishes that I have seen, are too delicate to cut out when using fondant/gumpaste. I would appreciate as many svg. files you can come up with. Many thanks...Brenda

What about trying them but using the shadow or blackout feature

You can also if you bring them into inscape use the outset option..

I just got my cricut about a month ago and so I still have a lot to learn about it and as for inkskape..I know nothing about it. I just bought the scal program and my head is spinning. Right now I basically know very little what you are talking about. Thanks for your suggestions though.

If you look in the Flourish category under SVG in this forum, you will probably find quite a few scroll svg files that might work for you. Have you used your Cricut Cake yet? My sister is a cake decorator and she is thinking about getting one and of course SCAL. I was wondering if it works well for cutting gum paste or fondant?

There are some good ones, but most of them are too thin. I don't have the cricut cake, but I do have the cricut expression. I have cut fondant on it and it has worked fairly well, using the blue housing and deep cut blades. I will be trying gumpaste also. I just tried it this week and I am very happy with the results so far, however, it does take some practice.
