Wow, what interesting responses!!! I'd like to add that many of us simply cannot afford all those scrapbooking luxuries. (Isn't that why we purchased SCAL in the first place?) And I was recently laid off, and scrapbooking is my only source of relieving my stress. I'm really thankful for SCAL because it sure saved us a lot of money. (I figure, it could cost me well over $2K if I have in Cricut products vs. what SCAL can do).

I honestly think copying off other designs are fine for personal use only. No intend to sell, or make a profit off those. Use for your kids' birthday parties. Send out few sentimental cards. Make someone's day a bit better. I think copyrights are overrated. Everything has been done and redone. The government has better things to do than scan for copyright violations. Phhht. :geek:

Has anyone bothered to look at web sites that sell car decals? They are all the same files being sold by different companies on line! Same with most metal art being sold on the net.
As I have said before, I have a friend who is an artist and he said if a company sees you are selling one of their images, they will ask you to remove it. If you don't, they might go further and contact an attorney. The chances of a big name company going thru our forum are very slim. Look at Mardenez web site. Everything she makes is a licensed image and apparently Disney or nor anyone else has asked her to remove anything. She is not selling them or making money off of them. If you don't want to download an image from our forum that you think is a violation, then don't. BUT LEAVE THAT OPTION UP TO US AS INDIVIDUALS. Those of you that are so concerned about this had better not download things off of Limewire or Piratebay.org either so the boogy man doesn't get you.
