New updates for SCAL2.
Re: New updates for SCAL2.
Would someone be kind enough to explain the "selection" upgrade to me. I have figured all the others out, but not sure what (or where) this upgrade is and what (or how) I could use this. I appreciate any help you can give.

I'm new to SCAL but even being a newbie, this is an awesome update.

Re: New updates for SCAL2.
laxmom,
I believe that is referring to the fact that objects are now drawn with a stacking order so if you have a small item on top of a larger one you can select it easily. If the larger one is drawn later, then you have menu items under Object>Arrange>... to move it to the back, etc. so that the smaller item can now be selected easily.
A keyboard shortcut to select the item underneath would be a better solution, but this works pretty well and is certainly a big improvement from the count the clicks days.

Re: New updates for SCAL2.
I hadn't changed any settings anywhere. All I had done was cleaned the house a little......and then had to re-register.
I've also been trying to share a SCUT2 file and once I hit the submit button it isn't allowed. The message I get is that SCUT2 files aren't allowed......

Once your object is selected:
Menu bar:
Object:
Break Apart.......
I haven't looked at the auto-fill. I'll do that now and see what I can see!

I got auto-fill to work. My thought is make sure your image is selected first....if it isn't selected the program doesn't know what you want to copy.
Menu Bar:

Paste (Auto Fill)

Re: New updates for SCAL2.
When you save an SCAL2 file it applies the ext as .scut2 but this ext is denied when you try to upload to the forum. If you delete the 2 and just leave the ext as scut you are able to upload it. Unfortunately SCAL1 users don't know this and can't open the file. I assume TODD will get around to fixing this once the two new versions are stable, and the forum listings are fixed. LOTS of work to do!gingerd wrote:I hadn't changed any settings anywhere. All I had done was cleaned the house a little......and then had to re-register.
