I figured out how to weld in SCAL, thanks for the help everyone.

You can weld inside a square or rectangle, but I don't know how you would do a circle or oval. It is a lot harder to do in SCAL than in inkscape.

Thanks to all of you who replied with the tutorials! I appreciate it! To those looking for more tutorials if you also google video inkscape heathenx you come up with a bunch of youtube videos. I've watched a few of his (heathenx) videos and they are pretty good as well. I am attempting my first project so we'll see how it goes. I need to watch the tutorials a few more times so I know what I'm doing then cross my fingers and just do it.
