I used my Cameo last night for the first time. I cut some vinyl decals that I am donating to a Junior Dart League. I used the SCAL preset for vinyl, but it didn't cut deeply enough. The preset called for a blade setting of 1 and I think a pressure of 9. After about 6 cuts, I was happy with the results using a blade depth of 2 and a pressure of 15. I was very impressed at how well it cut the TM in the logo and how square the corners cut. Much better than my Cricut. It was also great not having to cut sheets and then stick them to a mat. I was able to cut 7 at one time which was almost 36" long. How cool is that?

I had a bunch of small pieces of vinyl laying around so I thought I would give my Cameo a workout. I was able to cut this logo as small as 3/4" tall. I am impressed. I wonder if I modified one of my Cricut blade holders to work if it would cut as well or if the Cameo blades are just that much better? Any thoughts?

Well, if anyone could do it, it would be you Todd. Welcome back. I'm not a very social person on the board, but when I started visiting, you had such great posts, advice, etc. I remember when you left, and glad to see ya back.

Todd, awhile back, there was a product on the market, but I don't know what happened to them. I sent them a e-mail and never heard back. It would be great to have this type of blade housing for the Silhouette, because their blades can be costly. Check the links out:
