I'm really hoping that someone can help me out with this because I've been sitting here for more hours than I care to admit trying to figure this out, and I'm still stumped!
I read the PDF to SCAL via Inkscape tutorial on this site, which basically tells you that you can save a PDF as an svg file and inport it into SCAL. So, I've imported my PDF, changed the View to "Outline", and tried to "ungroup" everything, but I can't "ungroup" or break apart anything. When I save the PDF as a plain svg and, import that svg to SCAL, I get nothing - a blank screen. I can't "select" portions of the PDF and save them as an svg... I've changed the measurements to inches... what am I doing wrong???? Please....

You Import SVG files into SCAL and Open SCUT files in SCAL. You cannot open a SVG file in SCAL. I'm not sure whether you open or import PDF files in Inkscape.
If you like, upload your file here and I'll take a look, or maybe one of the Inkscape gurus could take a look.
