Post by cinnamon457 »

I want to cut a word using SCAL and/or inkscape... I want the word one color and I want a shadow around it a different color...guess like a layered effect...

Hi,

Here is the quick version.

After you've typed in your word(s) in SCAL copy and paste a duplicate. Move it way from the first.

Select the 2nd one. Go to the Properties box and drag it open all the way down. You'll see in Appearance a box saying NORMAL. Click that open and you'll see several options. Shadow/Blackout is probably best. Which one pointy, straight etc. depends on the font you used in the first place. Click on one, if you don't like it click on Normal and try a different one.

There is a "size" box that is probably defaulting to 1". that may be too big or too small, you can adjust the numbers until you get what you want.
