SCAL 2.011

Post by Falcon256 »

Hello everyone,

I am hoping someone has seen this and is able to help. It looks like there are other posters having the same issues, which gave me some ideas.... but I still have the issue.

I am using the Expression to cut out 12 boxes on a sheet of paper. The issue is the boxes on the lower half of the paper cut out with no issues. It does not even try to cut the top boxes and the software says complete.

I have tried remaking the boxes (Copying the ones that work and pasting them at the top) messing with the PATH settings and messing with the layers all to no avail.

Any help or ideas are appreciated.

Thanks,

Andrew

Everyone,

I have updated again, it looks like they are on a newversion, 2.011D which has solved my problem.

I must say I am not thrilled about their version number information on this one. As a consumer I did not kow there was an issue with out spending 1/2 hour searhing through the forums last night and this afternoon.

There should be some indication that there is a 4th or maybe 5th version of 2.011 on the site by including this info right on the main download page (add the letter) or by increasing a revision number IE 2.011.X where X is the revisions revision number. Either way something is needed tobe called out on the download page AND the version history.

I LOVE the software, so these are all suggestions from frusteration not anger.

Thank you,

Andrew

Go into Edit/Preferences/Updates and check the box.

Your computer will give you a message when you load Scal if there's a new update available.

It is checked. The issue is they released bug fixes that did not change the revision number... the software (and me) had no way of knowing that there was a newer version out there.

Thanks,

Normally the numbers on the updates do go up, but Leo at svgcuts.com said he is testing a beta version of scal so that maybe the next update we see....

Check out Leo's post in this thread on his forum:

2.012 is great. No issues at all with this version.

Thanks!
