how do you open zip files?

Zip files I download I cannot find them in my computer, where are they?
Once I find them, sometimes in a folder that I can't open, how do you open them?
How do you bring them and use them in program?

Are you extracting the file first? Click on the zip file (do not open). Right click and "extract all". Remember what folder you extracted it to and they should all be there. Remember to delete your zip file. You can go to http://www.scrappingtable.com and she explains how to unzip.

You can get WINRAR for free and download them with that and then what I do is extract them to my desktop and move them over into a saved folder called SVG I created...
