Expression is cutting as if it only has 6x12 mat

I just purchased an Expressiona and it has 2.31 firmware -- I wasnt sure if I needed to upgrade or not but I did anyway and it is still showing 2.31. With that said, when I tried to cut a shape on the 12x24 mat it cut half the shape ( what would fit on the 6x12 mat for my other circut that I was using prior to the expression). The 12 x 12 mat size is selected when I pressed cut -- what am I doing wrong?????

This sounds like what SCAL2 did when it was first released. Make sure that you have the most recent version. http://www.craftedge.com/download/download.html
Also, make sure that you are selecting the right machine when you cut.

Thanks, Heather --- I think maybe I did select the wrong machine -- I tried again and made sure I selected the expression and it worked. Thanks for your help -- All this crafting can get quite technical!!!
