How to Post an Attachment to a Post

Post by papasue »

Assuming that you have an .svg file to post as part of a request for a file or as a new post.
Do a new TOPIC or a REPLY
1. Scroll down below the message box and you'll see UPLOAD ATTACHMENTS
2. Select "choose file" that will take you to your computer and you click on the .svg file that you have to share
3. After it loads select ADD the FILE

That's it unless you want to also add a .jpg file showing what the wagon looks like.

Choose file again
Choose the .jpg file
Choose add file

Select Preview to see how it all looks, if good then select submit.

The program will take you to your post, if it doesn't look good to you then select EDIT at the lower right side of your post and try again. HELP is always close by.

Good Luck, I'm looking forward to seeing the wagon.

Can you tell me how to make a copy of the screen to show what the design looks like? I have seen postings where there is a picture of the design as it shows on the computer screen. I want to post a picture of my design with the svg file but I can't figure out how to copy my screen. Thanks for your help.

On your computer is a Print Screen Button... Just hit your Ctrl and Print screen button at the same time on the image you want to show.. Then go to your photo editing program and paste the image in there.. Crop the part you don't want showing and then go on from what Papasue said to upload an image..

If you are working in Inkscape - save your file, then select all of the components and select ALT+B. This will make a bitmap copy of the image. If you did the save first, you can now close without saving changes. Next to the svg file, there should be a .bmp or .png image of your file.

That's how I do it at least - simple and easy.

In addition to the above posts there is this one that is posted in the tutorial section on this Board. It is always good to "search" here first. It will save you time waiting for someone to answer with the same thing.

Thanks so much for all of the great info on posting. I tried to search for the instructions earlier today but couldn't locate it. I have a couple of things that I want to post, so I will give it a try hopefully tomorrow. Thanks again, you guys are awesome.
