I have tried to import cutting files into windows 7 using the info provided yourselves .. its needs improvising and I can't do it.
My mac is is the main comp I use and The library is set up with installation but I just cannot import into the library.
If anyone could help I would be grateful. Also if you think I should master one at a time then the mac is my preference.
craft edge info says the last time I was on the forum was Oct last year … but I was on a couple of nights ago using a different comp ( does it make a difference )
with kind regards to anyone that can help…And may I wish one and all A very happy crafting new year

I use a Mac too. I think you want your files to show up in the library within SCAL. Not sure what cutting machine you use, but SCAL and eCAL function the same.
In your documents folder you will find a folder for CraftEdge. Open that folder and you will see another folder named "MyDesigns".
I have a folder with all of my SVG files in it and I have my files separated into various category folders.
So I simply drag my SVG folder into the "MyDesigns" folder.
When you are in SCAL, access your library pane by going to "Window - Library" and you will be able to view your files in the the "shapes" tab.
One more thing -- make sure you have downloaded the latest version of SCAL/eCAL -- whichever one you use as this method for the library is in the newer updates.
Hope this makes sense to you and it answers your question.

Thanks Sandy I checked before I posted for up dates… so I am up to speed.. can you tell me , does an image manipulated in inkscape & saved as SVG import into scal or do I have to do things.
My plotters are cricut which I don't use that much, silhouette SD is a standby, Cameo silhouette I use lots and I use a Silver Bullet with images that need more pressure. Your instructions for getting the files into the library are what I though I had done. I did find the Craftedge folder & opened and dragged one of my files, I then closed down sure cuts a lot and re opened but the file I dragged did not show in the library.SORRY I feel I am waffling, so I am off now to see if I can find what I did wrong. Thanks for your help . MRS G
