Hi People
Just bought the wife a Circut Expression.
Will I need to change the firmware to run SCAL?
If so where do I get the firmware?
Cheers
Craig

Hi Craig
Welcome
If you have the latest version of SCAL you shouldnt have to worry about firmware.
When you go to cut in SCAL you choose which model Cricut you have and the firmware thats on the Cricut.
The firmware version comes up in the display when you turn the Cricut on.
Check the board here to download the latest version of SCAL

Craig, if the firmware is showing 2.0 and that is not an option on SCAL, you will need to download Provocraft Design Studio software to update the firmware. Originally, we had to have at least 2.1 firmware version to use SCAL on the Expression and I don't know if that changed or not.
If 2.0 is an option, you are good to go.

Re: Just bought the Wife a Circut Expression
You are allowed to have SCAL on two computers I believe. So you shouldn't have a problem putting SCAL on the new computer. Just keep your registration key so when you go to install it on the new computer you have it.

If you don't have your registration key for SCAL when you are ready to install it on the new computer, send an email to Todd and explain your situation and he'll send you one.
