Is your operating system Vista by any chance? If it is, you're out of luck (which is just another thing that stinks about Vista!), but we can be hopeful that there will be a fix for that someday before the next OS comes out............

I run Inkscape w/ Vista and have had NO problems (yet), knock on wood! I think sometimes the bigger problem is not necissarily w/ Vista, but rather if you are running 32 bit or 64 bit. There are more "problems" w/ 64 bit, but always ways to get around them.

I always cut contact paper and have never had a problem with residual glue on my blade. I use the repositionalble contact paper that has a paper backing that you peel off before sticking. Happy cutting!

YES IT IS COMPATIBLE!!! SCAL is one of the few programs that IS compatible w/ the 64-bit processor. I've been running it on my 64-bit for months...... but one hint: it does tend to freeze a bit if you hold down the "move" key too long so make sure you set the program to run in XP compatibi...
