Craft Edge

i am doing a trace image and printing. calibration marks are there. the problem now is i am getting a box around the object, instead of cutting the actual object out...how do i get rid of the box? i have tried layers which just creates another box...

i am pretty new to the eclips, and am having a very hard time figuring out how to cut just the outline of an imported image. i can import, print, find my marks on the paper and align them....but i don't know how to just cut the outline of the image, not all of the text and images inside the 'box'. f...
