Craft Edge

One, I just reformatted my computer and had to re-installed inkscape so I now have the newer version. Every file I open now into SCAL has a little square attached to the file and gets cut out as well. Hoe do i fix this?

Also, I just created my first wood book and was going to try cutting it but when i went to open it in SCAL the image is not right. It's all skewed. The bottom left corner of my word book page is like there is no node there so the page line runs from the top left of the page to the bottom right of the letter portion of the page.

PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME!!!!!

Check out the Inkscape sub-forum. There's several threads discussing issues with the newest version of Inkscape. Basically, they changed things so that there is more grouping, and you need to do some more Path/Union or Combine steps to get things palatable to SCAL.
