class of 2010 word book

I have a question, with the word books can they be used for pictures, or what are there main purpose. I want to try my hand at some but didn't really know what they were used for. I saw a class of 2009 and it looked really neat.. I just got SCAL and have been playing with it but i am not sure how to put a word book together. can someone help? Thanks!!
