Anyone think this can be cut on the cricut?

I spent a lot of time tracing & tweaking this. I *think* it will cut ok on my wishblade, but I have no idea if it will work on the cricut.

Either way, it will be a nightmare to piece together *if* it will work.

opinions???

Just my humbled opinion, but I usually don't do anything this detailed. It probably would be OK in a very large size, though.

Why don't you save it as a .SVG in Inkscape, import it into SCAL? Once in SCAL, you can click on the magnifying glass and see how it will cut. The red lines in magnifying glass view show where the cut lines will be. You can always try cutting it with scraps or a color you don't like.

The eagle wings would be the least of my worries. You can make the brown part the blackout and the black part an outline. So the brown part would cut out as one piece and the black part would cut out with the holes to make the sections on the brown (hope that was clear). The black would be thin and flimsy but better that working with a whole lot of pieces (repositional adhesive would be a MUST)...same with the leaves and berries in one claw. I would probably delete the arrows in the eagle's claw and make individual arrows

It can be done it you really needed it bad enough.

that is a great idea. I had thought of that, but can't figure out how to do that. I did it with another file, but that was a fluke, lol. I know it has something to do with the outline of lines or such. good idea on the arrows too--I'll work on that.

as far as needing it--I don't, but I do want it ;)

thanks for the replies!! very helpful!!

This can be traced and cut relatively easily using the paint bucket technique...BUT... The problem is going to be when you go to weed it (pulling away the vinyl you don't want and leaving the vinyl you do want). It is simply not going to be worth the hours it would take to do this unless you are cutting it at a very large size. Besides, this isn't really a custom image so you might be able to find a commercial sticker of it.

Could you use the paint bucket feature to separate all the colors like the tutorial that was on here a while back?

Jancy,
Thinking about this some more. Won't the wishblade do print and cut? This seems like a perfect candidate to me. Just print the image, then use your wishblade to cut out just the outline.
