I have some Photoshop CS3 .psd's that I've used both with Adobe Illustrator as well as Inkscape and coverted to svg format.
When I import them into scal they immediately go to the upper left hand corner of the mat and I see absolutely nothing. The position reads x:10416.66 / y:10416.66 with h: -10416.66 and w: -10416.66.
I can not nudge it or manually enter any position info.
I've attached some jpg's of the svg's I would like created (there are 6 needing to be resized down to 23.5 - I forgot about cutting mat limitations.). These are for some vinyls designs.
If someone could make me 23.5" wide svg's of these I would greatly appreciate it as I am trying to get the vinyls done in time for a carshow.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
If this is in the wrong section please let me know or move it please.

I noticed they were fonts, in Inkscape did you remember to select then object to path. I sometimes forget to do that step.

I did the first one for you.. but you'll probably have to separate your words as you know because of the size limitations.. The widest each word will go is 11 1/2 I do believe...

Can I ask what did you did to correct it?Sweetness4713 wrote:I did the first one for you..
I'm having exactly the same issue.
Thought I'd keep my first foray into Inkscape and SCAL simple, but it's turning into anything but!
I've attached the file. It's not a font, it is showing up perfectly as paths in Inkscape, which have been combined. There are no groups. I've tried copying and pasting into another file, saving as a plain SVG...
It is around 3 in square in Inkscape... and is -10416 in square in SCAL... so invisible.

All help gratefully received!

Re: import svg errors in SCAL
What version of SCAL and Inkscape are you using? I could open your file in SCAL 2.029 without any issues.
Re: import svg errors in SCAL
Ah ha! Off to download the updated version.
(I'm using SCAL v2.005 with Inkskape v0.48 - knew there would be some vital piece of info I would forget to include!)
