The thread above has a mini bread loaf box. I wanted to do one a little different - and start a thread with a better name - so here it is.
These boxes are designed for loaves from 6" x ~3" pans. The one box is 2.25" tall. The "short" box is 1.5" tall.

Yes, you should be able to print it out from within Inkscape and cut it out.

VERY NICE Jasen... We have a bake sale coming up and I have mini loaf pans so these boxes will come in quite handy.. In fact it's a Christmas bake sale so I can do christmas prints..

Here's a slightly updated version. I made the score marks a bit longer, deleted a few extra nodes, and added inset panels as seen on the boxes we made over in the "Designs" sub-forum.
Note: I put the panels in place on the box. This is not efficient from a paper saving point of view. If you plan to make very many boxes, I suggest you rearrange the panels in Inkscape to get more from a sheet of paper.

I am hoping that in someone answering this question, it will help me with all the other files that I am having trouble with. First I want to say thanks to all those who have this great talent and wonderful spirit of giving.
When I bring this svg file up on my computer it is huge (W:12.81and H:9.65). Is this the correct cutting size for the loaf box? How do I know that is the size it is supposed to be and, if not, how do I know what size to rescale it to? I have downloaded many wonderful svg files, but don't know if the size is correct.
I apologize for my stupidity, but I love this forum and my machine and all those who contribute, but I am struggling with sizing issues across the board. I do not have Inkscape and do not know if that is half my problem. I am self teaching and try to view all the tutorials and advice from here to help myself learn.
Todd has helped me with a zebra design and I am ever grateful to him as well. He is very talented and patient with us newbies and I know you experienced crafters must just shake your head and think here we go again.
Any help on this box and its sizing and any other help for sizing in general would be so greatly appreciated by me.

Hopefully someone else can provide clarification on the sizing issue. It's something I haven't figured out either.
The outline of the breadbox should be 10.26 x 7.73. It's possible I'm not doing something right in Inkscape to set the size properly for SCAL. Personally, the file opens the right size in SCAL 2 for me.

Jasen, It's nothing you are doing wrong. Ink, AI, and CorelDraw all use a different size definition. SCAL2 can be set to either Inkscape or AI dpi so that the files import at the size that they were made. The setting is in the Edit/Preferences menu in SCAL2. I have more info
here.
