Hi everyone, just thought I'd share the board book I created using a file of Bella & Edward that I downloaded from this forum. It's still a work in progress as I've yet to do the inside pages and embellies. What do you think?

I guess I'm just stupid. I've tried everything to get a picture to attach. I have resized it and everything and it still won't attach..

Yes Leslie I used red cardstock for the letters and coated them in glossy accents to make them look like epoxy letters. :D

That is really well done! I have been wondering what you type of paper you guys use when you make a board book. Is it regular card stock, posterboard or actually chipboard? If it is chipboard how thick is it? I haven't had any luck getting my cricut to cut anything that is thick even with the deep cut blade.

This book is made with cardstock. I cut the book pages twice and then glued them together. Once you have the patterned papers and embellies on, it's just as sturdy as chipboard. I have made another one using chipboard though and I used a light weight chipboard (similar to cereal box weight) and set me regular blade to multi cut x2 had it cut wonderfully. HTH!

Thanks, that will make it easier. I will not be trying regular chipboard again. With that being said what is the purpose of a deep cut blade? I really don't think it is necessary to have it. Now I can quit putting off cutting some books.

To be honest with you, I don't see the purpose of the deepcut blade either. I do own it, but haven't (as of yet) need to use it. I think next I want to order some of the Roland blades to see how well they work since others here on this mb have said they work better than the cricut blade. :)
