Using Gel pens and Fonts

I want to write something with my gel pens I bought for the Cricut.
Every font I have comes in as a "fill in".
Is there any way to get single line script?....some that looks like regular handwriting would?

Is there any other way? My text is very small.

There are some fonts that are very narrow and would probably work for you. One that I have is learning curve, but there are others. Look for a uniformly thin script font. HTH

I looked on Dafont and found three on the first page. http://www.dafont.com/theme.php?cat=602

How do you use or do the "fill-in" that you mentioned when using pens?

I have a post here on my blog about this. You would use the same method with gel pens, but the lines would need to be closer. If the font is thin enough, you might not need to fill it in. HTH

See this new post on my blog for 3 fonts that don't need to be filled in
http://cleversomeday.wordpress.com/2009 ... ur-cricut/

also if you have CorelDraw x4 the DVD comes with 10 engraving fonts that should also work well.

I downloaded the Stymie font (see above post) and it worked really well. I tried it with gel pen and the rubber gripper and with the cricut pens. Both worked so well I was in heaven. Thanks again to Kay for finding out how to do this.

I would like to be able to do this for a wedding invite I'm making for my SIL. However, she selected a phrase in Gaelic and I am
unable to figure out how to type the phrase in Inkscape using the proper word accents over the letter A. Does anyone know how to add a
word accent in Inkscape?

The phrase is "Ta gra agam duit" and I need the accent over the "a" in Ta and gra.

Thanks for your help.
