cricut only cuts top half of project

I just purchased SCAL, and am already frustrated with it! I am trying to cut a project, I have mat size set at 12x12, but when it cuts, it will only cut the top half of the project to the six in. mark.... What am I doing wrong????

Did you change the mat size in the Cutter menu?

I keep looking on the forum, and cannot find a solution to this problem. I have sent an email to SCAL, and no response. VERY frustrating !!!

Hi, just got the software and the same problem here.
Solution: just click another matsize and then the right one again, check preview if it worked. When I try this, it works every time.

Under Documents on the right side of your Scal page did you change the mat size to 12x12 PLUS under the cutter file on scal to 12x12?? you have to set both...Otherwise it stays at 12x6 for cutting..
