Question SVG files and SCAL 2.0

dear all,
After seeing Dan's video I am pritty sure I will upgrade to 2.0, but I have a few questions:
Can you have both your full, registered version of SCAL 1.1016 on your PC and the trail of SCAL 2.0?
I create multi layered SVG files for my wordbooks In Inkscape. Wil SCAL 2.0 recordnize these multi layered SVG files when opening?
Can you copy/ paste between 2 layers?
Can you copy/ paste betwwen 2 or more pages in SCAL 2.0?
Are you able to group and ungroup different items on different pages?
Can SCAL 2.0 work with grouping and un-grouping of Inskape. Currently if I saved a SVG files with grouped items, the "Old" SCAL will freeze.

Hi
Ive upgraded and I have both versions on my computer.
Why not download version 2 and try things out for yourself, sometimes thats the best way to see if its going to do what you want

I totaly agree.
But I was not sure if I could have both versions on my PC.
I don't want my current version to change to trail mode because of this.
But as you have both, I am going to doanload the trail of 2.0 to give it a try.

When you upgrade it does not delete the first version but I don't know why I would use it after looking a Ver. 2 it is AMAZING!!

Actually, 2.0 puts itself in a separate folder in CraftEdge and you can have both versions at the same time.
If you put a shortcut on your toolbar, you will have to change that or it will still be a link to the old version.

Are you able to group and ungroup different items on different pages? You can group what ever is on a page but you do not see images on different pages at the same time so you are not able to group them. You can however group between layers on the same page.

Another neat thing is you can import your svgs that that are grouped into SCAL and it appears they will cut. Have not been able to test that yet only got the trial.
Also when importing svgs they nearly import at the right size. I ran a test with a 12" x 12" mesh I have, inkskape says it is a 12x12 but in SCAL 2 it came up 15x15. What is good though is the size of the svg is now indepedant to the font size set in SCAL2 and the size can be altered in the Position_Size properties box.

Thanks everybody for replying. I am going to download the trail during the weekend to give it a full try. As I can have both, I am only curious now what I can do with it.
