i have inkscape working- got it into SCAL- when i cut it says that i need to update my firmware- i know that this has been covered before but i sure can't find it know that i need it!
finally found where to get the update after reading many forums.

but it appears that the upgrades can only be done with windows.

I am a macbook- so does that mean i can't download the upgrade ????

if i do the upgrade on my husband's computer-then what do i do- will i have to do everything with his? will i ever be able to use my mac?

i have spent several hours trying to figure this out and my head is now starting to spin!

You only need a PC to upgrade your firmware. Once you have done that, you will be able to use your SCAL on your Mac.

what is it i need to download- the design studio? or the support downloads?


oops i found it!!!!

you download design studio, (on te pc) hook up your cricut, then the top toolbar, go where it says to update firmware. follow directions. When your done, take your cricut back over to your mac, and use scal.
