Making Stencil

Can anyone tell me if you can make a stencil using scal v2? Or if I upgrade to v5? Thank you in advance.

In Version 5 there's a tool that allows you to easily create stencils by bridging interior shapes to the exterior like this:
You click on the Stencil Bridge icon, enter the size you want, and then drag your mouse wherever you want to add a bridge.
