Does anybody know why my Sure Cuts A Lot 5 detect the wrong machine? I have a cricut maker and Sure Cuts A Lot 5 is saying I have a Silhouette Curio.

I'm not fully understanding what you're saying. Cricuts cannot work with SCAL as a result of a law suit from about 8 years ago. The last version that did was SCAL2. Since then, Cricut has not been included as an available cutter to choose within SCAL. You can export as an SVG file to use with your Cricut but I don't know which Cricut models can work with Cricut's Design Space software.
