Is it Necessary

is it necessary to purchase the CD for SCAL also? What happens if my computer crashes? How would I get SCAL back, would I have to purchase it again or use the license and serial number?

I only bought the downloaded version. It looks like you can download it any time you want, so I don't think there will be a problem with not having the CD.
