USB Port Connection

WELL, ordered SCAL today and downloaded it...played with a design, but now it acts like I'm not using the right cord.
What are the differences in the cords? I saw where it needs 2.0, but I found one off of a printer....and it fits perfectly, bt I don't see those numbers on it. Anyway, I downloaded the drivers (or so I think I did), but it won't work. Any suggestions of what I'm doing wrong and/or should I just go to Walmart in the morning to pick up a different cord?

Hi mlea!

USB 2.0 actually is a specification for the type of port on the computer as well as the device that you are hooking up to the computer. A USB cable is a USB cable is a USB cable. Some claim to be better then others, but in the end, they all do the same thing regardless of the version of USB. You do not need to purchase a new USB cable. A cable that is said to support USB 2.0 will also support USB 1.1 and vice versa.

Thanks!

Leo
